Driven by our CEO Kyle James, Supporting Women in Engineering is a major part of what we do here at Groundline.
Across our New Zealand, UK, and US offices, we recognise and celebrate the talented women shaping the future of our industry right here at Groundline. As part of this we sponsor the Women in Engineering Christchurch (WiE) that is bringing more women into the industry.
Each year, our NZ team takes part in a Volunteer Day, giving back to the communities and environments. In partnership with local organisations, we support projects that create a lasting impact while strengthening team connections. Over the past three years alone, our team has planted 1,810 native trees, including 650 in 2026, 660 in 2025, and 500 in 2024 helping to restore and protect local landscapes for future generations.
Each year, our UK team takes part in an Annual Charity Fundraiser, supporting our nominated charity Crohn's & Colitis UK through a range of engaging activities designed to bring employees together. Through donations, friendly competition and community spirit, we help support a worthwhile cause while creating memorable experiences for our teams.

Our Graduate Programme is designed for university graduates looking to apply their academic knowledge in a real world environment, we provide the training, guidance, and help build their skills and confidence needed to thrive in their careers. We see this as a major investment in our industry and adding strength and value to our customers and the infrastructure of the regions we operate in.
We value developing future talent. Our Apprenticeship Programme combines hands-on experience with learning, giving apprentices the opportunity to earn while they are still learning, building industry skills, and gaining valuable experience while being supported every step of the way from the start. We see this as an investment in the future of our industry, adding long term value to our customers, our communities, and the infrastructure we help deliver.
